Motivational Event Indeed - Credits To Mentor Council

8 April 2011, Darul Rahmah – ‘Program Motivasi Mentor’ organized by Mentor Council that evening went out smoothly, Alhamdulillah. After the attendants signed up, the occasion moved on to the next session, a forum with a hot topic entitled ‘Daie Excellency Revolution’.

Three honored panels in front, Mohd. Bukhari Muslim bin Mohd. Nadzim, Chairman of PERUBATAN Cawangan Zaqaziq, with Ahmad Afiq bin Abdullah Zan, Head of Academic Unit of PERUBATAN Cawangan Tanta and Nasriah binti Ramli from Cairo University; not to forget the remarkable moderator that evening, Mohamed Nasarudeen bin Abdul Hamed. Each of them showed excellent performances even the moderator himself. ‘Sharing is caring’ – most of them shared inspiring experiences, books, permissible acts of a mentor and even stories of past during beloved prophet Rasullullah (PBUH) times.

Being a daie is not easy – either dealing with daie himself or the environment, but our panels showed great examples for people to follow and it somehow left an impact to attendants; lifting high spirits for the mentors to continue being a daie, which is in fact actually an obligation for every muslim in this temporary life. To learn how to understand the environment we live in and handle with ‘hikmah’, to smile more and to avoid criticizing or condemn the people that do not acknowledge the importance of being a daie.

Next agenda was conducted by Mujahid Sabri explaining ‘Double MM’ contest and the terms and conditions for participants. Attendants were given a file filled with information about the contest, forms to fill, articles, etc. ‘Double MM’ starts this upcoming April 15th and ends July 5th. The motive of this contest is to encourage the mentors to equalize or excel in not only one way, but both – academically and as a daie.

The event was put under arrest for some time to perform Maghrib and Hajat prayers before the next session begins. Around 7.20p.m, attendants gathered again to listen to our respected leader,Amad Azizi bin Md Jusoh briefing upon various tips on being a daie and even better, story of Hanzalah (friend of prophet Muhammad pbuh) was told, motivating the attendants even more. Proceeding, an awesomely-manmade video left awe to viewers, considering the ‘transformers-like’ effects and backgrounds. The event went on conducted by Ammar Ziyadi without failing to try his best to enlighten the surroundings, which is one of positive attitudes as a daie mentioned by lovely Nasriah during earlier forum.

The event ended as a celebration for 5 of our beloved mentors being ‘guilty’ for having birthdays on April. Scrumptious Black Forest and Caramel cakes were presented and everyone enjoyed their dinner that evening. The motivational program is very much motivational indeed!

Simply for participants taking part in Double MM contest, do your best with your taakhi!

Once the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) was asked, "What person can be the best friend?" "He who helps you remember Allah (SWT), and reminds you when you forget Him," the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), counseled.

Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) was further asked, "Who is the best among people?" Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) replied, "He who, when you look at him, you remember Allah (SWT)". Such a friend reflects qualities of love, mercy, honesty, service, patience, optimism, professionalism, and the entire lifestyle taught by Islam.
